Mid-size arena adds cloud-based digital signage to help solve communication challenges.
In modern arenas, technology is a significant tool for enhancing the fan experience. Since both the arena and fieldhouse are expected to draw thousands of visitors every year, the arena management wanted a digital solution that would simplify visitor communication, promote special events, and reduce overall wait times within the facility.
To support the arena’s effort to increase branding and advertising exposure, Ping HD deployed 22 55” LG WebOS displays around the arena’s concourse. These displays are designed to primarily show advertising and partnership content, but can quickly be updated to show event-branded content or emergency alerts when needed.
As visitors enter the arena’s grand lobby, they are welcomed by a stunning 3×2 digital video wall. Powered by Six, 55” LG WebOS displays, the video wall demands attention and is designed to play any type of digital content.
To help reduce wait times, Ping HD worked closely with Spectra to develop a custom self-guided application. The new interactive application will help guests navigate the facility, browse upcoming events, and view available dining options. Two 55” LG WebOS displays power these interactive touch solutions in the arena’s concourse.
