Ping HD’s Home Run with the Colorado Rockies

Located just across the street from Ping HD’s corporate HQ, Coors Field home of the Colorado Rockies, Denver CO, represents the third MLB ball park that has converted to Ping HD’s Digital Menu Board system so far this 2011 season. All concession stands across the 100 Level have been converted to Digital Menu Boards which equates to 47 screens.

The rollout follows a very successful pilot throughout the 2010 season where the Helton stand aptly named after Rockies hero Todd Helton was converted to digital which demonstrated an impressive ROI.

Centerplate Selects Ping HD for Airport Concessions Menus

First Foray for Digital Communications Leader in Transportation Sector

Queens, NY – May 27, 2011— Ping HD, a leading provider of digital
communication solutions for the sports, convention and entertainment industries, joined with MexiJoe’s Grill at LaGuardia Airport’s Central Terminal in New York as the digital menu board solution for this new concept.

Ping HD, the full service digital media company, is known for its digital menu deployments that blend guest entertainment with behavior-driving information. This is the first implementation of Ping HD in the transportation sector, the company to this point, has focused on the sports and entertainment market with recent deployments at the Edward Jones Dome, home of the St. Louis Rams, Coors Field, home of the Colorado Rockies, and Arlington Park Racetrack , located in suburban Chicago, and AT&T Park, home of the San Francisco Giants.

MexiJoe’s will feature three 42-inch HD LCD monitors managed by Ping HD’s content management system. The MexiJoe’s deployment features full motion graphics, time-based daypart menus, and rotating promotions to drive incremental sales. The application will be remotely managed by Ping HD from its data center in Denver, Colorado.

“As we conducted our investigation into a digital signage solution, we found a number of companies simply selling gear,” said Bob Pascal, Centerplate’s Senior Vice President of Marketing. “By contrast, Ping HD served as a strategic consultant, able to design a system and content that will help us to engage consumers and drive sales. Their ongoing, off-site management was also a huge benefit in making the technology easy-to-deploy into our complex operations.”

“To date, our work has involved high profile professional sports and entertainment venue digital communications and advertising platforms,” said Kevin Goldsmith. “This experience has enabled us to develop a communications platform that engages and entertains, provide for full support, all at an attractive price point.”

Digital Menus at “The Pen” at Safeco Field, Seattle

Home of the Seattle Mariners, Safeco Field’s Bullpen Market, once a dimly lit, cramped space, has become the ballpark’s newest fan attraction. The ‘Pen, is the result of a complete overhaul during the offseason where Ping HD has provided the Digital Menu Board solution throughout the four concession stands. This is another great ‘full service’ project delivered by Ping HD. The area, located in left and center field adjacent to the home and visitor’s bullpens, is now a bright, open area with a fire pit, cocktail lounge, and destination concession stands with food concepts created by three nationally acclaimed chefs – Seattle’s own Ethan Stowell, as well as chefs Roberto Santibañez and Bill Pustari.

The ‘Pen not only is more open and inviting, the entire atmosphere of the area has been changed with the removal of the chain link fence behind the bullpens. Fans now have un-obscured views of the playing field from The ‘Pen. And because The ‘Pen will open a half-hour earlier than other entrances, fans will have the chance to sip a cocktail and get a pregame bite to eat while watching Mariners batting practice.
