Ping HD at Digital Signage Expo 2010

Ping HD featured in the LG Electronics Booth providing high definition, full motion graphic content display and fully emersive touch screen platforms. Ping HD provided media engines, software solutions and produced all digital content for the LG Electronics/Burton Snowboard booth display.

LG Electronics Booth entrance with Burton mock-up “retail window” on right. Ping HD provided Burton Snowboard full motion graphic content on LG regular and new bright display screens in the show window. The display presented the innovative LG Electronics Shine Out product on a side-by-side comparison with the normal 1080p display. Designed for high ambient light environments, the Shine Outdisplays take sunlight and use it as an additional light source to actually increase the effective brightness of the display. With an Anti-Reflection Surface Treatment, “wash out” is minimized, resulting in content that is more easily viewable.

LG Electronics Booth entrance with Burton retail display on right pedestal. Ping HD provided Burton Snow Board full motion graphic content on display screens. The Burton content assets were repurposed and converted for use on the portrait oriented digital signage. A custom dynamic RSS feed was added representing global snow conditions. The software represented dynamic playlist dayparting utilizing multiple file types including flash animation and HD QuickTime.

Inside the LG Electronics booth with Burton Snowboard interactive retail “touch” display( 42” touch screen in semi flat position stacked on snowboards). Ping HD provided Burton Snowboard interactive touch screen platform with full motion graphic content on the LG touch screens. Interactivity included multiple on-screen touch “buttons” that take the user to the Burton Snowboard website, retail clothing catalogue, high definition snowboard videos and Burton commercials.

Inside the LG Electronics Booth with Burton Interactive Retail Display (42” LG touch screen in semi flat position) as well as 42” wall retail display. Ping HD provided Burton Snowboards interactive touch screen platform content on LG touch screen as well as full motion graphics on all wall displays. An innovative flat 3M Burton logo cutout utilizing the new-to-market LED projector created a highly visible, full motion logo concept.
